We should all have a water buffer and be adapted to climate variability and change! This presentation is an introduction into the now unused 3R opportunities of groundwater recharge, retention and reuse and local rainwater storage. These should be implemented at scale and based on local priorities and local possibilities should include the upscaling of water harvesting, creating water banks, making use of roads for recharge and retention, conjunctive irrigation management and others.
