On Human Rights Day, 21 March 2012, Earthlife Africa Cape Town, together with Climate Justice Campaign, organised a protest march and "Speaker's Corner" to highlight the devastating impact that fracking will have on South Africa's water resources, and thereby on the constitutional right to water enshrined in South Africa's Constitution. A large gathering of protesters from all sectors of South Africa's society highlighted the united nature of the opposition against fracking.
