The Katuma river in Tanzania is drying out. Water from the river is used for agriculture and raising cattle, but also of great importance for the region’s wildlife. In the last decade, the Tanzanian government has implemented a new water policy giving more authority to local governments. However, an increasing population and climate change weren’t taken into account. This leads to bad public health and minor-scale conflicts.

Who can be blamed for this tragedy? This video shows the various stakeholders which are involved in this situation and discusses some of the tremendous consequences.
