Monitoring CEDAW implementation

Funded by the EU, the Arab Women Organization – one of IUCN’s members and a partner in the Azraq Oasis Restoration Project – launched the “Monitoring CEDAW Implementation” for restoring the Azraq Oasis in partnership with the IUCN/ROWA with involvement by the local community in order to enhance water governance and improve women participation in water resources management. CEDAW stands for Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination at Women.
To ensure active participation of the local community, collecting and analyzing information was entirely carried out by the local community.
