On behalf of more than 30,000 Ecuadorean indigenous people and farmers affected by one of the biggest oil spills in history, the European Environmental Bureau (EEB) launched a fundraising challenge at grrrowd.org/challenges/help-ecuador-oil-spill-victims-to-get-chevron-paying-for-the-damage.

In a 2011 landmark verdict, the Supreme Court of Ecuador ordered Chevron to pay 9 billion US dollars to clean up the oil contamination and to set up health programs for the victims. So far Chevron has refused to pay and has promised the victims a "lifetime of lawsuits". This Grrrowd challenge will mobilize the global crowd of concerned citizens to support these victims for as long as it takes.

Your donations and your social media shares can help the victims win this legal “David vs. Goliath” battle and achieve justice.
