Description

The indigenous people of the Amazon are the carriers  of a profound vision on the world and nature

Unfortunately, they are under constant threat by another vision: that resources are there for those with power to take and use for their own gain and greed.

Please take some time to watch Justino Piaguaje, President of the Siekopai nation in Ecuador, as he tells a timeless story of how the Amazon River came into being.

The story shows the deep spiritual connect between the river and the indigenous communities it nourishes. It also shows underscores the contrast with the other vision of greed—embodied by petroleum companies, oil palm estates, cattle ranchers, loggers, and new ‘leaders’ as Brazil’s President Bolsonaro.
