Description

Formed due to excessive soil erosion by runoff, gullies further aggravate erosion with each successive rain as they act as channels for the water to flow through.

This video is a visual guide to managing gullies; or how to put them back into use by retaining water and soil. This can be done by making ditches and check dams, using locally available material such as stone and brushwood. The video also touches upon how check dams should be maintained.
