About Us

TheWaterChannel is an independent knowledge platform that translates scientific and technical knowledge on water, agriculture, and climate into accessible, practical insights. Since 2009, TheWaterChannel has been curating videos, webinars, dossiers, and articles grounded in real-world experience across the intersection of water, agriculture, irrigation, groundwater, and climate adaptation.

But here’s the problem: in these fields, failure is rarely due to a lack of information. It happens when the right knowledge isn’t accessible when it’s needed most. Valuable lessons disappear when projects end, remain buried in reports, or stay locked within organizations.

TheWaterChannel, an initiative of GOPA MetaMeta, aims to keep practical knowledge in circulation.

It captures and shares knowledge that has been tested, challenged, and refined in practice. By bringing together practitioners, researchers, communities, and organizations, the platform turns scattered experience into accessible, usable insights.

Content is organized into thematic dossiers, allowing you to quickly explore a topic in depth, connect ideas, and find relevant resources without starting from scratch.

Whether you are designing programmes, shaping policy, conducting research, or working directly in the field, TheWaterChannel helps you move faster, make better decisions, and avoid reinventing the wheel.

This is not just a library — it is a working knowledge network and a living repository.
