How does a region become more resilient in the wake of a natural disaster? This is a short documentary about Rebuild By Design, a competition created after Hurricane Sandy to respond to the rising threat of climate change. During Rebuild by Design, interdisciplinary design teams and regional partners collaborated closely with communities in impacted areas, working together to create proposals for a safer future based on local needs and visions for resilience. This short piece tells the story of why this work is necessary, and a bit about the people who do it.
